At 1031 Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received a call stating a controlled bonfire had become out of control and was endangering surrounding trees. Crews from Torpoint and Saltash were mobilised, on arrival they found a fire measuring 15 metres by 15 metres. Two hosereels were used to extinguish the fire, the land owner also assisted crews with a swing-shovel by turning over the site of the fire to check the fire was fully extinguished.
