One appliance from Callington attended reports of a gorse fire in the Kelly Bray area. On arrival crews found a large fire in a wooded area, a request was made for "Make Pumps Two". A further appliance was mobilised from Launceston along with a wholetime officer. Two hose reels and one main jet were used to extinguish three hectares of gorse and woodland. The cause of the fire was from a bonfire that had spread. This is all the information we have on this incident.
