House Fire

Parka Road, St Columb Road, near St Columb at 20/07/2013 13:47


One fire appliance from St Columb, two fire appliances from St Dennis and two fire appliances from Newquay attended a fire involving the first and second floors of a three-storey semi-detached house, measuring eight metres by ten metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereels, a main jet, two thermal imaging cameras and a street hydrant to bring the fire under control by 1425hrs. There were no persons involved, although the neighbouring property was evacuated by passers-by.

The British Red Cross Fire & Emergency Support Services (FESS) vehicle is en-route to offer support to neighbours and the occupiers.

A fire investigation officer is also en-route to determine the cause of the fire.
