Caravan Fire

Fire Control received a call giving details of a caravan fire at Welcombe, just the Devon side of the border with Cornwall. The two closest available appliances were mobilised from Bude. On arrival the fire crews discovered a caravan well alight in a wooded area. Two breathing apparatus sets and two hosereel jets were used to extinguish the fire. Three cylinders were inside the caravan but were not involved in the fire. The caravan was severely damaged by fire. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
