Six firefighters from Looe and Six firefighters from Lostwithiel are in attendance at a block of flats which were on fire on Portuan road. A single call was recieved from a neighbour of the property stating that there was smoke coming from a bedroom window in the premise. Using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel crews entered the building measuring 20 x 20 m. The fire was located in a flat on the second floor. The fire was extinguished using four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one covering jet. Once the fire had been extinguished a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building.
