Six firefighters from Bodmin attended a call to a reported fire in a stairwell in a building. Crews entered the building with two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet however the fire was out on crews arrival and confined to the stairwell. As as result of the fire the premise was heavily smoke logged and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to ventilate the building. On investigation it was established that the fire involved paperwork lit on the stairwell, this fire was arson suspected and details have been passed to the police.
