Five firefighters on one appliance from Camborne attended a call to a chimney fire. The fire was contained in a small cavity in the chimney flue. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to locate the fire and a small hole was made in the chimney brest through which water was applied to the fire. Once the fire had been extinguished the fire crews remained on scene monitoring the chimney using the thermal imaging camera until the chimney had cooled.
