At 10:06 this morning, twelve firefighters on two appliances from Newquay were mobilised to a premise whose fire alarm was sounding and the building was full of smoke. On crews arrival a third appliance was requested to attend as the premise was well alight. A third appliance from, St Columb with six firefighters were mobilised. Crews entered the 10 x 4 m building using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. The source of the fire was identified as being on the ground floor of the premise and originating from a wardrobe. The cause of this fire in not thought to be suspicious.
