At 11:26 a call was received to a tumble dryer on fire in a property in Pengegeon. Two appliances from Camborne with ten staff were mobilised to the incident. The tumble dryer was in a garage utility room and firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The building involved was a bungalow measuring 8 x 6 m, there was heavy smoke logging in the premise after the fire had been extinguished. A positive pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the building and all utilities to the building were isolated by fire crew. To ensure that no residual heat was retailed in the roof space crew’s cut away the ceiling and crews continued with ventilation.
