One appliance with five firefighters from Bodmin attended a call to a large bonfire which was out of control and spreading towards a 1000 litre domestic fuel tank. The bonfire measured 4 x 4 metres and was in close proximity to the oil tank and a domestic premise. Crews used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, the oil tank was heat damaged but fortunately was not breached by the fire. Once the fire was out crews damped down and cooled the oil tank.
