At 12:52 a call was received to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the road between Summercourt and Quintrell Downs. Five firefighters from Newquay and four from St Columb were mobilised to the incident in Water Ladders, a specialist Rescue Tender was also mobilised with six firefighers from Bodmin. The vehicle involved had left the road and there was one male casualty trapped in the wreckage. Using two sets of crash rescue equipment firefighters removed the roof from the vehicle; firefighters assisted Ambulance paramedics with the extraction of the casualty. Once the casualty had been removed from the vehicle they were left in the hands of Paramedics whilst firefighters made the scene safe.
