Two fire appliances from St Dennis and one fire appliance from St Columb were mobilised to a report of smoke issuing from the kitchen of a house. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the two-storey mid-terraced property, measuring approximately seven metres by seven metres, to extinguish the fire using one hosereel. Fortunately, the occupants had working smoke detectors that alerted them to the fire and, with the help of neighbours were able to evacuate safely. An ambulance attended for one person suffering the slight effects of smoke inhalation.
