Two appliances from St. Ives were mobilised by Fire Control on receipt of this call, crews were on scene within five minutes of the call, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using a hosereel were deployed, the fire was in the lounge and involved a timber lintel over the fireplace, the fire was quickly extinguished and the property was then ventilated.
