A call was received by Cornwall Fire Control from Devon & Cornwall Police stating that several vehicles were involved, a further call from the Police declared it as a ''Major Incident.'' Cornwall Fire & Rescue resources mobilised to the incident included appliances from Bodmin, Launceston and Callington along with rescue tenders from Bodmin and Camborne supported by the Command Support Unit from Launceston.

Update 1300 hours: The A30 is closed in both directions, Fire personnel are using crash rescue equipment at the scene to release casualties and ensuring scene safety. Westcountry Ambulance and Devon & Cornwall Police are in attendance also the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Update 1400 hours: The incident is now being scaled down and Cornwall Fire & Rescue resources are returning to their home stations. For any further information regarding this incident please contact Devon & Cornwall Police.
