Sea Defences Washed Away

Fire crews from the Isles of Scilly Fire & Rescue Service's St Marys Fire Station were mobilised to flooding, after sea defences had been breached by the tidal surge. Firefighters confirmed that no damage to property had occurred and they assisted the Harbour Master with temporary repairs to the sea defences. The fire crews had left the scene by 1940hrs.
