One fire appliance from Mullion Community Fire Station attended a report of smoke seen in the distance. On arrival the crew discovered that power cables had been brought down by the wind and were draped over a shed containing ponies. The power cables had also started a small fire involving tyres. The fire crew stoodby to ensure the safety of the ponies and to make sure the fire did not spread, until Western Power Distribution engineers arrived to isolate the power supply. The firefighters left the scene at 0315hrs.
