At 13:57 this afternoon a call was recieved to a 15 hands horse stuck in soft mud up to its belly. Specialist water rescue and line rescue teams from St Austell were mobilised along with crews with a landrover from Looe for access. The male horse was around 400 metres away from the closest road access and on crews arrival they made their way to the incident scene on foot with line rescue equipment. On return to the horse the animal had self rescued itself.
