Five firefighters from Truro attended a call to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at a premise in Truro. On crews arrival an Ambulance was requested to attend as the resident of the premise was suffering from symptoms associated with carbon monoxide poisoning. Wearing two breathing apparatus and using a gas monitor a reading for carbon monoxide was taken from the premise - this reading showed a positive reading for the gas in the premise. The resident was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and fire crews isolated the gas supply to the premise and ventilated the property.
