On receipt of this call, both appliances from Bude and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised. On arrival the crews found that two vehicles were involved and it was confirmed that there were persons trapped. Cornwall Fire & Rescue used crash rescue equipment to release the casualties. Westcountry Ambulance, Devon & Cornwall Police and a doctor were in attendance. The air ambulance and a sea king helicopter were also in attendance. Further casualties were treated at the scene and some were transferred to hospital by air.
