On receipt of a call from Lifeline crews from Looe, Liskeard and Polruan were mobilised to alarms sounding. On arrival crews found an elderly and confused occupant who had accidentally discarded a lit cigarette causing a small fire in her lounge. The fire was out on arrival and the lady was treated for minor smoke inhalation by south west ambulance service.
