On receipt of a call from a passer-by who saw embers coming from the top of a chimney, a crew from Falmouth Fire Station were mobilised to the West Street area. The chimney fire was located and crews used hearth kit, a 135m ladder and a hosereel to extinguish the fire and also a thermal image camera to check other properties. The crew also carried out a home fire safety check and confirmed the fire was accidental.
