Two fire appliances from Bodmin Fire Station attended this incident. The fire was found in the floor joists next to the chimney breast. This was a difficult chimney to deal with and crews took some time to extinguish the fire fully using four sets of breathing apparatus, two hosereels, stirrup pump and rods. The neighbouring property was also checked and was not affected, both properties were also checked for carbon monoxide and all readings were zero.
