At 02:16 a fire call was received to a premise which was reported as full of smoke. Two appliances with twelve firefighters from St Ives were mobilised to the scene, soon after arrival a request for ‘make pumps four and water carrier one’ due to the close proximity of the chalet to other buildings as a precaution the incident was made ’persons reported’. Six firefighters from Penzance, Five from Camborne and a water carrier from Helston with three were mobilised to the incident. The single storey chalet was well alight and crews used four breathing apparatus and two jets connected to hydrants. The incident was sectorised and alongside fighting the fire, crews also protected nearby properties from the fire. Electricity engineers were requested to attend to isolate the property. One casualty was taken to hospital by Ambulance paramedics and at 03:27 hrs it was confirmed that ‘all persons were accounted for’. There are no more details available for this incident.
