Strong Smell of Gas From Premise

Five firefighters on one appliance attended a call to a premise smelling strongly of gas. On crews arrival they entered the premise wearing two breathing apparatus and a gas monitor. On investigation it was established that a gas appliance in the premise had been left on, fire crews isolated the gas and ventilated the premise with a positive pressure ventilation fan. One person was treated on scene by Ambulance paramedics. A gas engineer also attended to assess the gas system in the premise.
