Nine fire appliances from Launceston, Callington, Saltash, Liskeard, Bodmin and Lostwithiel along aside specialist Environmental Support Unit from Saltash, Breathing apparatus support from St Austell and an Incident Command unit from Launceston attended a call to a barn on fire measuring 30 x 15 metres. Two Water carriers from Liskeard and Plympton and a Welfare vehicle from St Dennis are also on scene along with seven Officers. In total 60 Fire crew are on scene at the time tackling the fire in the agricultural building. The initial call was received at 10:47 hrs, at 11:03 the building was well alight and crews requested ‘make pumps 4 and water carrier 1’. Crews were using at that time two breathing apparatus and two hose reels supplied by a water relay from a hydrant. At 13:01 had two main jets and two breathing apparatus in use, by 12:05 crews made pumps six and then at 13:32 from the incident scene a request for ‘make water carrier two’ was made. Currently fire crews have two breathing apparatus with one main jet, one ground monitor and two hose reels in use.

Update 17:00 hrs: At this time the incident is being scaled down and fire appliances have started to leave the incident.
