Fire In Domestic Premise

Egloshayle road, Wadebridge at 13/05/2014 23:50


At 23:50 hrs several calls were received by Fire Control stating that there was a property on fire on Egloshayle road in Wadebridge. Due to the number of calls two appliances from Wadebridge with nine crew and one appliance from Bodmin with six firefighters were mobilised to the incident. On crews arrival the single storey extension was well alight and threatening two neighbouring properties and a request for a third appliance was made – four firefighters on a second appliance from Bodmin were mobilised to the scene. The fire was in a two storey extension of a mid terrace dwelling, crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two main jets connected to hydrants to extinguish the fire. Further equipment used included two triple extension and two roof ladders along with rope restraint to help damp down hotspots in the premise. The cause of this fire is unknown a Fire Investigation team will re attend the scene this morning.
