Fire appliances from Penzance, St Just, St Ives, Camborne, and Helston along with specialist appliances from Falmouth, St Just, St Dennis and Helston including three officers and assistance from Red Cross volunteers are all in attendance at a substantial fire at a residential property. Six Breathing apparatus, two hosereels and two main jets were used supplemented by a hydrant. All persons are accounted for, however the property is severely damaged. No further details at this time.

Update at 04:38 :Good progress being made by crews, damping down hot spots. Incident being scaled down to four major appliances on scene.

Update at 5:55 :Fire Investigation will be carried out later on this morning. Two appliances still on scene damping down.

Update at 7:40 :All appliances have now left scene. fire investigation to follow this morning.

Update at 1315hrs: Fire Investigation now complete confirming the cause to be accidental.
