One appliance from Truro along with a wholetime officer attended a report of a gas leak. On arrival crews discovered a large hole rupturing a main gas pipe. They evacuated the immediate area and cordoned it off for public safety, making the area safe until the arrival of the emergency gas board. The incident was handed over to them on their arrival after the gas main had been isolated.
