At 00:12 hrs reports were recieved saying that smoke was billowing from a garage on Edgecumbe avenue. Two appliances from Newquay with eleven crew were mobilised to the scene. Once on scene crews confirmed that no garage was on fire - the smoke was coming from a small bin on fire next to the garage. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
