Two appliances were mobilised to an address in Redruth to a property fire. On arrival the crews were met by a number of the occupants who had left the property because of an alarm actuating as a result of a fire in a ground floor flat. A message was relayed to Fire Control that there were persons unaccounted for and a further appliance was despatched. Crews wearing breathing apparatus dealt with the fire and carried out a search of the premises to locate any occupants who were unaccounted for, further breathing apparatus crews were deployed and as a result, two occupants were rescued from the premises. A number of the occupants were treated by Ambulance crews for smoke inhalation however, all occupants were allowed back into their homes. A fire investigation will be carried out later this morning.
