At 0125hrs this morning Fire Control received several calls reporting a fire in a property in Newlyn. Two appliances from Penzance and one appliance from St Just attended. The first informative stated there was smoke issuing from the commercial premises, measuring approximately 20 metres by 10 metres of two storeys. The fire was on the ground floor and firefighters wearing four breathing apparatus used one hose reel and one jet to extinguish the fire. A fire investigation will be carried out in the morning, there are no further details regarding this incident.
