At 1036 hrs this morning Fire Control received a call from the Police asking for our assistance at a road traffic collision on the A30. One appliance and the rescue tender from Bodmin, also an appliance from Launceston were mobilised. On arrival crews found two vehicles which had left the road and gone down into a ditch. Two casualties were in one vehicle and not trapped however in the second vehicle the driver was trapped, and firefighters used crash rescue equipment to release the lady. Both vehicles were stabilised and the casualties were placed in the care of Ambulance personnel, the Police were also in attendance.
