Applicances from Callington and Bodmin attended a report from a neighbour of a smoke alarm sounding and smoke seen in the kitchen of a domestic propertyy. The premises was a single storey end terrace measuring approximately six metres by six metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally. A positive pressure ventilating fan was used to remove smoke from the house.
