Two appliances from Perranporth and one appliance from Truro attended a report of a property which had smoke issuing from the window. On arrival the crews found a fire in the kitchen of the premises, and the occupier had been helped to leave. An ambulance was asked to attend as the occupier was suffering from smoke inhalation. Firefighters wearing four breathing apparatus and using two hose reels extinguished the fire and checked the building to ensure there were no persons still inside. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to remove smoke from the premises.
