Nine crew on two appliances from Penzance and six firefighters from St Ives attended a call from a premise which was full of smoke and whose alarms were sounding. On crews arrival the ground floor of the property was full of smoke but there was no obvious fire in the premise. Crews used two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to search the building. A small fire was identified as having been in a kitchen water cylinder heater which was out on its locating. Crews isolated the electricity supply to the heater and ventilated the premise.
