A total of eleven crews from Bodmin with specialist line rescue equipment attended a call to a dog which had fallen into an old quarry and was stuck 45 foot down a cliff edge. Crews accessed the dogs from the bottom of the quarry using lines and a 10.5 metre ladder. The springer spaniel was trapped on a ledge and was difficult for the crews to access, its estimated that the dog was stuck 25 feet up from the ground. Crews used a cargo net to secure the animal before lowering it to the bottom of the quarry. The dog was returned to its owner unharmed.
