One appliance from Looe attended a report of a vehicle fire near St Martin. The crew found a single vehicle tipper truck containing household waste had been on fire. To ensure it was completely extinguished and safe firefighters used a pitchfork to turn over the rubbish and a hose reel to damp down. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and details have been passed to Devon and Cornwall Police to investigate.
