A total of ten firefighters on two fire appliances - one from Liskeard and one from Bodmin attended a fire in a wood chipper on a waste management site. The fire involved wood and the wood shredder. A water carrier from Liskeard was used to shuttle water from a hydrant to supply the two breathing apparatus and two hose reels tackling the fire. Crews remained on site with on site workers assisting the fire service using a fork lift truck to move materials from the fire and creating fire breaks in the burning material.
