Farm near Marazion at 11/09/2014 17:21

At this time CFRS are attending a large barn fire just outside Marazion near Penzance. 2 appliances from Penzance 1 from St Ives and a water carrier from Helston are on scene. The barn is about 20m x 10m and containing 700 straw bales and is well alight. At this time crews are boundary cooling to protect nearby trees is being carried out using hose reel jets. It is likely that the barn will be allowed to burn out under CFRS supervision. We will update this press release as we receive further information
