Fire Control received a report of a large plume of smoke seen from Germoe towards Tresowes Hill. One appliance from Helston was mobilised to investigate. One arrival the crew found a large bonfire approximately six metres by six metres which had become uncontrollable. The owners were on scene and had tried to extinguish it with no success, firefighters used two hose reels to put the fire out. Occupiers were given advice on controlled burning.
