Crews from Newquay & St Columb attended a transit van fire earlier this evening, following a call from the driver who said there were flames coming out of the back of the dashboard.
On crews' arrival it was found that the fire was caused by the stereo system overheating; this was removed and a thermal imaging camera was used to ensure all was safe.
The fire was accidental and confined.
There are no further details available regarding this incident.
