On the initial call at 14:37 hours, it was stated that there were acetylene cylinders on fire within a building. Cornwall Fire & Rescue mobilised appliances from Falmouth and Penzance, also the decontamination unit from Penzance and the welfare vehicle from St. Dennis attended.
On arrival it was confirmed that one cylinder was involved in fire, crews proceeded to set up a water monitor to cool the cylinder. A cordon has been established in the area.
Update 1830 hours: Crews are continuing to cool the cylinder and monitoring its temperature. All resources are still on site at this time.
Update 1930 hours: The cylinder is still being cooled at this time, although the incident is being scaled down with resources from Penzance returning to station.
Update 2030 hours: The incident has now finished. Crews are making up kit and returning to their home stations.
