On receipt of this call, appliances from Padstow and Wadebridge were mobilised, on arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of a two storey semi detached property, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hosereel to extinguish the fire which involved a dishwasher, a thermal imaging camera was also used to check the area, crews then proceeded to ventilate the premises using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The residents of the premises were alerted by the activation of the smoke alarms.
