Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were called to an automatic fire alarm which had sounded in a premises on Pentire Avenue, Newquay. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus investigated the area and found there to be a fire in a burnt out motor in a plant room. The area was checked to ensure it was safe.
