Twelve firefighters on two appliances from Bude attended a call to a chimney fire which had spread to a wooden beam above the woodburner. Crews made access to the area via an access plate using small tools, the fire was located using a thermal imaging camera. The wooden beam was well alight in the chimney, crews removed materials surrounding the beam to gain access to the fire. The fire was extinguished and firefighters used small tools to cut away any burning material and charred material left.
