Appliances from Liskeard, Looe and Saltash attended a house fire in Menheniot. Three people were rescued by the fire service from an upstairs bedroom window, after becoming trapped by the fire downstairs. All the occupants were rescued unharmed, by firefighters using a triple extension ladder to the window. The fire in the property, an end of terrace two storey building, measuring approximately five metres by five metres, was extinguished using one hose reel by firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus.
