Firefighters from St Mawes were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a domestic residence with no response from the resident. On arrival crews reported "smoke issuing from rear of building, persons reported". A forced entry was made into the property which was a 15m x 8m single storey bungalow. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus carried out a search of the property and used one hosereel to extinguish a cooker fire. The occupant was thankfully found safe and well with a neighbour.
