Ten firefighters on two appliances from St Marys attended a call to a house with smoke coming from it with the smoke alarms sounding. On crews arrival at the domestic premise there was a fire in the kitchen area. Firefighters entered the building wearing two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. A total of four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire. The premise was heavily smoke logged, crews ventilated the premise.
