At 23:39, Cornwall fire service recieved a call to a smell of gas in a property. Eleven crew on two appliances from Newquay were sent to investigate the smell. Crews confirmed there was a strokg smell of gas in a corridor in the building and fire crews isolated the services. Once isolated the premise was naturally ventilated and crews remained on scene until the arrival of a gas engineer.
