On receipt of this call, both appliances from Truro and one appliance from Falmouth were mobilised, on arrival the crew found a fire in the kitchen of a six metres by eight metres which was well alight, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a high pressure hosereel jet, the positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the premises. One person was treated for the effects of smoke inhilation, oxygen was administered by Fire & Rescue personnel until the casualty was taken into the care of Westcountry Ambulance personnel. The cause of the fire was accidental.
